Decided to make a multipart mold maker for making a single dice mold. Tested and works great mine didn’t even leak any mold material. Step 1: put right and left together and make sure its level on the bottom. Then add the flat keyed part (NOT THE COMPLETELY FLAT ONE). Cover all surfaces of the print that you don’t want to stick in Vaseline (the walls and the keyed bottom piece) I then cleaned the very center of the keyed part to secure the dice to something. Wrap the outside with elastic bands. (Not sure if this is needed but just to be safe) Step 2: clean dice and secure to the center of keyed part with whatever you choose to use. (I use sculpty 3) Use as little and humanly possible without letting it move around. Step 3: Pour in the mold material very slowly. I fill mine to almost the top and place in a pressure pot for a few hours. Step 4: once cured remove elastic bands and split the mold holder in half and remove the bottom keyed part. Step 5: clean the top surface of the mold where the dice should be showing. Step 6: place the flat bottom insert into one half of the mold holder and insert the mold flipped with the dice opening up this time. Then place the other half of the mold holder back on. You should now have what you did before removing the mold the first time but upside down. Step 7: add more Vaseline to the top of the mold (BUT NOT THE DICE) and clean the dice with alcohol. Then slide the cap over top of the mold holder extending the tube so you have more room to pour the lid. And coat the side of this extension with Vaseline as well. Step 8: pour mold material for the lid I usually try and make it ¾ to 1 inch thick again pouring slowly. And place in pressure pot for a few hours: Step 9: I used my finger to pull the sides of the lid of the walls of the extension then removed the extension first. And split the mold in half again and you should be ready to remove your mast and get to work.
