If you're anything like me, you likely have an impressive collection of dice thanks to your extensive gaming activities outside of D&D. This abundance of dice makes the standard one die per compartment design in a dice box somewhat impractical. Similarly, slot styles for 7-die sets are not ideal. In response, I created my own custom solution. My initial three designs merely reinforced what I already knew: dividers can be useful, but tiny compartments are essentially useless. The fourth and final design, the one I've been using for about six months now, is by far my favorite.
