Digital Caliper Holder for Leveling Build Plate (Procise 6 inch)

I wanted a relatively precise way to level my build plate and since the dial gauges I looked around are pretty expensive for my budget I decided to create a mount to hold my cheap digital caliper. There are 3 stl files, one for mounting the digital caliper itself (in this case I got a procise 6 inch caliper), another for the clip that mounts on the gantry tubes in the 3d printer (I designed it for Makerbot Replicator 2x), these two attach together and finally a small clip with a point that attaches to the bottom caliper that will be used to take point readings on the build plate. Instructions Took a high resolution scan of the Digital Caliper and imported it into Sketchup. In Sketchup I traced the edges as closely as possible for accuracy and then scaled it up to actual dimensions. I created a negative edge mould that in turn became part of the caliper holder. Used the digital caliper itself to measure the diamater and distance of the two gantry tubes on my makerbot recplicator 2x to create a precise gantry clip to hold the caliper holder. The caliper holder took one trial print to make sure it fit the caliper snuggly but not too tightly.
