A model of the Dinorwic Quarry "Brakesman's van". These were used as a mobile shelter on the 4' gauge transporter wagons, so had no brakes of their own. They do however look good as a "Brakevan" for slate trains and quarry visitors trains. The asymmetric axle boxes are as-per the prototype and not a mistake. This model is based on the reconstruction in the Bala Lake Railway Heritage Centre. When curing, use of the axle box braces is recommended to prevent them from splaying outwards and causing wheel fitting problems. Ideally the body should be printed in Resin, with the roof in PLA (less likely to warp).
