This is the Fidget Mini Disc Golf Mini Basket! All of the 3D files and information on other parts needed are provided along with easy to follow assembly instructions. The basket is not quite at the scale of a full mini basket but a regular mini does fit inside. It is primarily intended to be decorative rather than functional and makes a great trophy for your local club. A top plate is provided with a circular area 74mm in diameter on which you could place a decal or glue a plate. Most of the parts could be substituted with alternatives. The most critical part in terms of the appearance is the chain. The one specified above gives the most pleasing sense of scale when the basket is printed at 100% size. Example suppliers above focus on Australian availability. All parts listed are metric, some close imperial alternatives may work but this has not been tested by the author. The bill of materials lists package quantities. If you have spares around or can source packages of smaller quantities the raw quantities needed for one basket are as follows: 1 x M10 x 445mm Threaded Rod 24 x 16mm Silver Key Rings 12 x 1.8mm Chrome Plated Mini Oval Chain x 15 links 12 x 1.8mm Chrome Plated Mini Oval Chain x 12 links 2 x 38mm Silver Solid Ring 2 x M10 Stainless Steel Thin Half Nut 1 x M10 20mm Washer For the printed parts note that the Basket_feet.stl contains four feet already. You can potentially combine the feet, poles, joiner and stand however the other parts will likely need to be printed on their own. The poles have been pre-cut in half to reduce print time and allow printing on printers with less Z height. The non-printed parts cost approximately $50 (AUD) for a single basket from the sources above. They can likely be found for less or substituted for lower cost parts. Since many of the parts as purchased have excess quantities multiple baskets will be cheaper. For example 2 baskets would only need around $65 in non-printed parts, making them $32.50 each. Cost of printed parts will depend on your settings and filament chosen. Printed with our settings they use about 250g of filament so probably less than $15 if using PLA. Obviously we haven't tried to optimise the BOM cost. The chain and threaded rod are the largest costs so if looking to reduce the cost that is the place to start.
