Disc to build DIY disc sander. 150mm diameter for 150mm sanding discs. 14 x 10mm vent holes, 8 at the outer side and 6 at the inter side, angled at 45° for easy dust removal (for clockwise rotation). They should fit to the most of the sanding discs. 3 versions for download: M10x1.5 , M12x1.75 , M14x2 I also included thread test file, so you can see if it'll fit on your thread without printing and throwing away the whole thing if something goes bad. 14x2mm thread should to fit on angle grinder or other power tools using this thread. Be aware that it may shatter with high speeds, and more importantly you probably will burn you grinder by using such huge friction surface, so its better to use it with low speed tools. Instead try 10x1.5mm, thread in a bolt without a head, and use your cordless drill on first gear, it should handle just fine. Filaments like PLA will melt quickly from high temperature, so its best to use ABS. I am using PETG with slow speed/small force and it works good. Glue velcro or glue sanding disc directly to get super straight surface. One more thing. If you are using autolevel make sure the bed is set flat as in non-autolevel machine, otherwise the disc will be wobbling. Printer settings I used: Bottom layers: 5 (1mm) Top layers: 2 Wall line count: 2 Infill: 20% Printing time around 4 hours Tinkercad: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9fy7oUG92xv-disc-sander-150xm14 If you want to use your own thread, just use the "iso metric thread" generator, but be aware that you have to make female threads 15% wider, for example, for 14mm use 16.1mm.
