Display Case for Raspberry Pi Original 7" Touch Display

This is a case for the Original 7" Touch Screen from the Raspberry Pi family, with extra holder for the Tindie HDMI-Extender, which can extend the distance between Display and Raspberry Pi up to 10m with a common HDMI Cable (instead of the impractical flat cgi-cable). The power supply of the Display also runs over some free pins of the HDMI Cable, so only one cable is requierd to display your visualization or anything you want to show. Here's a link to the HDMI adpapter: https://www.tindie.com/products/freto/pi-camera-hdmi-cable-extension/ This work is still in progress, so in the next weeks, there will be some improvements in design and contruction. But this version also works fine! You need some screws for the assembly: - 4 pcs M3x20 Screws for mounting the display to the case - 7 pcs M3x10 + M3 nuts for mounting the display back covers to the display case - 2 pcs M3x10 + M3 nuts for the not yet constructed temperature-/humidiy-sensor case on the back - 1 pcs cable bushing / gland / feed-through out of rubber with 6mm inner diameter and 9mm outer diameter for 3mm cable (for the sensor, which also is still in progress) - Tindie-Adapter and HDMI Cable holder mounted with the screws thats came with the display (M2 or M2.5) - 1 or 2 pcs M6x20 machine screw (DIN 933 with hexagonal head) + 1 or 2 M6 nuts for mounting the arms to the case Rest is 2,9x13 Screws, don't know the name of these, but i made a picture. I think this are 14 pieces. Assembly Infos: - For the left arm I glued in the axis with kind of superglue. Or you make 2 times the right arm, knob and knob-plate (as I would do for the next improved version) - I used about 550-600grams of very fine blue sand - like they use for fishtanks or decoration - to make the base heavier. I think its quartz sand. With this additional weight, the display case stands much more stable on the ground - I screwed AND glued the upper base cover to the base main part to be sure, no sand trickles through the fine gaps from the upper cover of the base. - On the bottom of the base I stuck 4 silicon foots as used for furniture to prevent from slipping Hope you like my work (1st Thingi-Project)! Feel free to make your own Remixes, I appreciate if you leave a comment or show your MAKES with a nice foto. Happy printing, Christian
