Dissection II

Some time ago I published a similar model, Dudeney's Dissection. It had 4 parts and changed from triangle to square. This one is a bit more complicated, with 8 parts and square/hexagon shapes. Also, this one has a closed chain, the other was open.--- Yellow, green, blue and red have only translation (see the second animation);--- Orange, grey, pink and brown also rotate 180 degrees.The last render shows the path of each part during the "transformation".I made another with triangle/hexagon too, it will be here soon.Modeled with Solidworks 2016.Rendered with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition.Frames edited with Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP.Video remuxed to MP4 with MyMP4BoxGui.Gifs made with PhotoScape.Renders edited with IrfanView.The 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files are animated.Model available in Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF and FBX.
