Made one test to see how good the HIPS filament can be as dissolvable support material. I designed one simple chain model and print object by ABS, support by HIPS on Replicator 2X. After 17 hrs. the limonene almost dissolved all HIPS materials (about 2g) and the chain can be rotated smoothly. It looks great except the limonene cost, 100ml only to dissolve 2g HIPS. The chain do carry a citrus scent. Instructions a. 120% size enlarge to print b. 0.2mm Layerheight c. Left head: HIPS(Grey), Right head: ABS (White) d Limonene 100ml e.
