DIY CNC Plasma Table

This was born out of a thread on the LR4x4.com forum discussing ideas on how to build a CNC Plasma Cutting Table. This is what I built - using a set of laser cut parts plus off the shelf components. The results are pretty good! I built it originally to use with a cheap Chinese Plasma cutter - which cost about $400. It worked so well that I decided I'd like to be able to cut thicker plate so I upgraded to a Hypertherm (c.o eBay) as well as an automatic torch height controller. The plate on to which the torch mounts is designed to be universal and cope with everything from a cheapo to professional Plasma. The total build cost excluding the Plasma Cutter was under $1000 which compares well with the alternatives on the market.
