This is my collection of modifications for the DIY Dremel CNC #1 from Nikodem Bartnik. You can find the assembled machine that uses these parts on Thingiverse: (https://www.thingiverse.com/make:641672) Overview on the parts --------------------- * Dremel-4000-Spindle-Holder_v12 This is a modified version of the original Dremel which makes it much easier to use the power switch on the Dremel and which has no collision with the Z-Axis holder when it's in the upper position. The tolerance on the center hole for the Dremel has also been reduced slightly to have a tighter fit. * Z-Axis_v6 This is a modified version of the original Z-Axis which makes it easier to install the end-stop for the Z- and X-axis as well as the mount for the drag chain on the X-Axis. I have also made an additional hole for the lead screw nut so that it does not stick out on the x-axis. * Mount-Drag-Chain-X-Axis-Long_v2 A mount for a drag chain on the X-axis with the outer dimensions of 10x20mm. This part has to be attached to the upper portion of the backside of the Z-axis (see screenshots, if you use my modified Z-axis there will be already two holes. Otherwise use a drill). * Mount-Drag-Chain-X-Axis-Short_v6 A mount for a drag chain on the X-axis with the outer dimensions of 10x20mm. This part has to be attached to the X-axis carriage on the right side (I've used a small drill and then inserted M3 screws). * Mount-Drag-Chain-Y-Axis_v5 A mount for a drag chain on the Y-axis with the outer dimensions of 10x20mm. This part has to be attached to the "outer" side of the X-axis carriage with three screws (again, use a drill and M3 screws). * Mount-End-Stop-X-Axis_v2 A small mounting bracket for an end-stop with the following dimensions: 19.8x10.2x6.4mm. The distance of the holes is 9.6mm. You can use M2.5 screws to attach it directly to the bracket. * Mount-End-Stop-Y-Axis_v4 A mounting bracket for an end-stop with the following dimensions: 19.8x10.2x6.4mm. The distance of the holes is 9.6mm. It is put directly on top of one of the rods for the y-axis and secured with M3 screws and nuts on the rod and the end-stop uses M2.5 screws and nuts. * Pad-for-End-Stop_v1 This is a tiny part that can be pushed onto the end of the lever for the end-stop. Everything should work without them but I have installed them to ensure that the lever has a good contact with the parts (especially on the Z-Axis). My lever has a small bend at the end (radius 3mm) so if you have a different one this part will not fit. * Remarks All mounts for the drags chain have holes where you can insert M3 nuts to make it easier to attach the chains. The drag chains you can see in the pictures have the following dimensions: Outer: 10x20mm Inner: 7x15mm R28 All parts have been uploaded in STL and STEP.
