If you want to skip reading below you can check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLvqCeOJP2k This is the 4th revision of a frame I've been working on over the past year. My buddy Cooter told me I should design a honeycomb version of the frame so I decided to give it a go. Previously I tried to keep the motor mounts generic so they would fit several different motors using zip ties. In this version I decided to settle on Suppo A1510 motors, which fly like a dream. You can get them from Altitude Hobbies and all of the main build parts will be listed below. From motor to motor diagonally the distance is 226 mm, which is about 8.9 inches. I wanted to take the thought out of a fun first DIY build. I've wasted too much time and money trying to figure out the right components and so hopefully this is a setup that will work well for you. I'm also working on a easy to follow instruction guide that I'll be sharing in the coming weeks. I also wanted to make it a very affordable build. All the parts excluding TX/RX can easily be purchased for less than $150. This frame comes in 2 halves with 4 landing pegs. Run CA glue down the edge of each half of the frame. Mash them together until there are no gaps in the teeth. Make sure to lay flat on some wax paper or aluminum foil and either let dry by itself or hit it with some accelerator. After the halves have bonded glue each of the landing pegs in place.
