DIY push button with EnOcean

Today I provide the most simple housing mechanic for realizing a customized push button for EnOcean´s PTM switch module. The button model should be modified to individual needs or shape to realize an unique push button. The base part is already finished and fits to the PTM module and to inner shape of the button part. I have modeled this basically to generate funny motive switches like shown in the attached pictures. Some of the motive buttons may be added to thingiverse later by me. I also would like to see all your funny ideas of how a push button switch should look like :-) Be aware that this simple model just actuates the PTM Module without any channel information. The module will send just pushed or released. Most of the receivers need a channel information to work correctly. To realize channel information in the radio telegram add an adequate pin in your design and play with its correct length of that pin. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0,1mm Infill: 25% Notes: depending on your model it may require to print it upside down, when using support for the inner bit of the button part, I recommend a support line distance of 1mm to each other, and at least one layer clearance on top. Post-Printing Rework after print I have noticed that the switch function, as well as the feeling, depend on the quality of your printer. It may require to smooth the faces which rub at switching. It also may require to shorten the length of the snaps of the button part to reduce friction. Both parts must slide in and out with lowest rubbing and scratching possible. If the PTM module does not switch back (or release) then mostly the basic parts moving range is too short some how. Try to give him more travel range. The original model is designed to have a large margin, but you never know :-D
