I have had a very hard time finding both tires and wheels for my Axial SCX34 so I have resorted to a DIY solution for at least the rims. It adds a little bit of weight and contributes to a more ”robust” look (my opinion). Anyway, the solutions simply consists of a rim cover/side, a wheel hub and an inner ring which are hold together by M2x8 mm screws (6 pcs). The rim side uses existing holes of the rims of the supplied stock wheels for the Jeep Wrangler, see linked video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qFGyKrXRe8 The holes of the inner ring (1.5 mm in diameter) are supposed to be threaded using a M2 tap. As an alternative self-tapping screws may be used (even M2 screws should work if the holes are drilled out to e.g. 1.8 mm). The wheel hub comes in a few different versions: 1) Closed hub with which will be streched a bit when the wheel is screwed in place (walls 0.8 mm, bottom thickness 0.3 mm). 2) Open hub which will not ”reduce” the usable threaded length of the wheel shaft (walls 0.8 mm) 3) Open hub with 1.0 mm walls (different look, may be easier to print). Please note that all parts are small and is optimized for an extrusion width of 0.4 mm.
