DJI FPV Goggles Antenna Friendly Travel Case

DJI FPV Goggles Antenna Friendly Travel Case

I recently bought a DJI set and did not have anywhere safe to store it or a way to pack it into my flight bag. Furthermore I am also using TrueRC high gain antennas on my goggles and I do not not want to keep removing them because they are delicate. So I put together a nice looking case that can also function as a launch pad. It is kind of handy to have a nice flat surface to launch from especially in weedy areas. I printed mine with clever filament change intervals translucent PLA so the cross design can be illuminated from within the case with a simple led flashlight. The case allows for you to leave your antennas on and have somewhere to store your battery, accessories and cables too. I fitted the lid to fit together nicely with the base and I left provisional holes in the corners for if you want to use optional magnets. They help keep the lid and base together in place with four 4x2mm magnets which are easily sourced on Amazon. I have to credit henryarnold for the handle design. I think it looks elegant. I simply added matching holes to my case so that the handle can fastened easily with M3 hex bolts (20mm x2 & 25mm x2) and locknuts. Handle: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2926036 I printed mine with Galaxy Black Prusament PLA with some layers using MGChemicals Translucent PLA. I used 15% hexigonal infill. Took 3 days to print everything at 0.20mm layer height. Simple foam can be used to line the case and secured with Super77 spray glue. I added a velcro strap to the base to lay across the top of the goggles and secure them into the case.
