So I just received a DJI Mavic Mini drone, and before using it, It was so hipped that I watched a lot of video on the web about it. I saw that the CE version has less range than the FCC one since the max power limit emitted was lower. And so, incresing the efficiency of the antenna is the only thing we can do to improve range and stability. To do so, many people recommend buy 10 - 20$ reflectors that have a parabolic shape and a metalic layer that act as a reflector. As this is prettey easy to do in 3D, I decided to do mine. The reflector sit on the controller's antenna, and the metalic reflective part is made with copper tape. It's the same copper tape taht I use to do DIY patch / microstrip antennas. I couldn't test it yet since I can't fly were I am actually and need to go far away to push the range more than 100 meters. But, it's only a reflector so it should work as every other and direct the signal to the line of sight of the drone. I hope this helped. :)
