DJI Osmo Pocket Tripod Mount Base

DJI Osmo Pocket Tripod Mount Base

The DJI Osmo Pocket is a great little time lapse and motion lapse camera which can also serve as a cameraman for a solo shooter with the subject and face tracking, but to use those features you just have to set the camera down and can't actually mount it since there's no 1/4-20 mounting thread on the bottom. This little support / mount provides a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom, along with a slot for the USB-C connection on the bottom and the noise cancellation microphone to still function. I also flared out the base so when you want to set the camera down it is much more stable than the Osmo Pocket is by itself which is fairly tippy / top heavy. In addition it has a cut out on the side so you can still access the Micro SD card slot while the Osmo Pocket is in it. The Osmo Pocket is retained in it by friction, but in testing I've found it to be plenty. I can hold the mount upside down and shake it and the Osmo Pocket does not fall out. In addition I can lift my mini ball head and tripod up by the Osmo Pocket's body and again it does not slide out. Let me know how it works out for you. If you have any suggestions for improvements maybe I can make some updates. Updates: - Added version (osmomountwoffsetbaseexpandedslot-v7.stl) with offset threaded mount and expanded slot for fitting larger USB-C connectors.
