DJI Phantom 3 iPad Mini Sun Visor

Sun visor for iPad Mini. I designed this for use with the DJI Phantom 3 RC unit with the built-in adjustable phone/tablet holder. The iPad Mini (all versions are the same size) slides into the visor and the whole thing is then clamped onto the DJI RC unit. The idea for this design was to make it light weight, so the walls of the visor are only 1mm thick (as designed). The actual resulting thickness from my printer is about 1.15mm. Also, there are cutouts for the USB/Lightning cable and the power switch. Note that the iPad is mounted with the power switch on the right and is about half obscured by the visor to make it harder to hit accidentally. You can use your thumbnail to activate the switch. This remix by jcampen looks like a good improvement: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:981087 It is beefed up in some of the weaker places. My original design was an attempt to make it as light weight as possible -- I haven't broken it yet, but one wrong hit and I'm sure it could break. New comment: After a few months since I designed this, I used it in some very hot weather and because it is thin and made of PLA, it starts to warp in direct sunlight on hot days. When it does, I have simply formed it back into shape by hand while it's still hot from the sun. Although it is warped, mostly on the top face, it still works. I'm surprised it hasn't broken. It might help to print it in a more reflective color to keep it from getting so hot in direct sunlight. Or print in ABS to stand up to slightly higher temperatures.
