DJI Phantom 3 Signal/Range Booster Extended Mounts

UPDATE: I was able to achieve a new personal distance record of 11,758 feet with the signal booster + these extended mounts. I love mswarden's DJI Phantom 3 & Inspire 1 Range Extender . His design is accurate, and the antenna is placed at the exact focus of the parabola. However, I noticed I was getting a better signal boost when I brought the range extender 2.7cm further away from the antennas. So, I extended the mounts by 2.7cm. Give it a try and see what works best for you! The signal booster is giving me at least a 1,500-2,000 feet boost. I need to perform another test, as a I forgot to note down the exact range difference. However, I did send my drone out far enough that when I removed the signal booster, I was immediately disconnected from my drone. So it does work!! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 1 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .20mm Layer Height Infill: 20% Notes: If you're using MakerBot Desktop, you'll likely need to use a raft. I almost never use a raft, but because of the beveled edges of this design, you should probably use one. I used MakerBot Desktop Standard settings (0.2mm layer height) and changed it to 20% infill since you'll want some internal strength since a screw will be going through it.
