DJI made an anti vibration kit for this multirotor but they chose to bolt the mounting cup for the damping grommet (or ball as some call them) by running the bolt through the center of the grommet. This is a problem since there is very little wiggle room on the ID of the grommet. When the grommet makes contact with the support bolt, it transmits the high frequency vibrations to the brushless gimbal and camera making it difficult to get smooth video. I tested this idea out with some quickly put together aluminum plates and makeshift supports, it worked great so I made this model so I could machine some permanent brackets. This model (fix) eliminates the thru bolt and eliminates any high frequency vibrations from reaching the camera no matter how hard the wind blows. I have tested this setup in 18 MPH winds with good results. I also added a precision cut and molded 3 inch piece of high density foam rubber to go between the main hub and H frame (where these anti vibration mounts are placed). I've included a photo of the stock design with the thru bolt setup and I've included a photo of my multirotor with all of the gear onboard. I have since built a new brushless gimbal that will support the smaller version of the Black Magic cinema camera. I'm in the process of building a gimbal large enough to handle a full size cinema camera, maybe even an Epic Red. One of the photos is of a straight bracket, there is one straight version on each of two sides of the H frame. The other four are at an angle as shown in the model. The rivets are just to made sure it cleared the grommets and for looks. Argh, it seems to be a never ending project with all of the new demands that customers are placing on us videographers. I used to only do industrial work (designing and building control systems and machines but now that my back has failed me (4 fused vertebra in the lumbar), I've switch careers to videography and just doing machine designs (no building). Most of my machine designs are somewhat simple compared to a lot of what I've seen here at GrabCad!! Great work, guys and gals!! :-) I have been enjoying viewing your hard work and well thought out ideas!! I'm glad this website is here!! :-) If anyone would like the CAD drawings with measurements, I'd be happy to put them together and upload them for you. Thanks for looking!! Best wishes, Merv
