DMM Rebel Ice Axe - Tomb Raider

AS a massive Tomb Raider fan, I've made a few of the weapons from the game but the Ice Axe in particular didn't feel 100% accurate even though the Thing is a good representation, so I decided to do something about it! (https://grabcad.com/library/ice-axe-1). I took the Solidworks files available there and scaled and chopped them to be suitable for 3D printing on smaller beds. The DMM Rebel Ice Axe was used as the model in the 2013 Tomb Raider game and the 2018 Movie of the same name. The Rebel was also used as the base for the axe used by Lara in the 2015 game, but was remodelled to give a slightly different look (I’m not sure if there were commercials involved either). DMM themselves had to source a number of axes for the movie shoot and they are now apparently as rare as hens teeth (I’ve tried!) so if you see one, grab it. There are other models of the Tomb Raider axe on Thingiverse, but they are missing some of the details and structure that the Rebel has and I wanted something more authentic so decided to put some time into Fusion and produce these. I’m building mine with real steel nuts and bolts at the head end and it’s worth noting that there is a smaller bolt holding the upper grip in place on the real axe which isn’t in the file, so I’ll be modding the print when it comes off to include that.
