Every great Sci-fi series needs it's cannon-fodder.  Those poor souls who go into dangerous places with the heron and whose fate it is to be shot, stabbed, blown up, eaten, disintegrated, crushed and generally subjected to a violent death.  Doctor Who's cannon-fodder mainly is in the form of UNIT soldiers; those brave men and women of the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce, marching bravely out to be EXTERMINATED.  Lead by the great Brigadier Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart, and currently by his daughter Kate, they hold a special place in the hearts of Whovians everywhere. This coaster is a tribute to those brave souls, and to all those around the world who (like me) have been watching the adventures of the madman in the box for many many years.  It also has holes in the back for mounting 3x5mm neodymium magnets so it can be retrofitted as a magnetic sign, or so it can be permanently mounted.
