Dog Lock to Make a Cat Room

This is a door lock that cracks the door just enough so that a cat can comfortably enter a room without a dog following him or her. The nice thing about this lock is that it doesn't require drilling. It may scratch your door some. If that is not acceptable than I suggest tapping the area where it contacts the door. Another nice feature is that it is self locking. When you shut the door the latch is angled so that it props right into the lock pit of the door frame. At first install this might not be possible, but given some time to stretch, it will form to a state of self latching. I have found that a PLA such as PLA+ that has good mechanical properties works best. If you use a poor or weathered PLA it may crack down the road with time. Enjoy! Your cats will love their privacy.
