SHCMS:G.20520.001 Coarse-Grained Dolerite Specimen This impressive piece of intrusive Coarse-Grained Dolerite was extracted from a Tertiary age dyke structure at the renowned Grinshill quarry in Shropshire. To enhance its microscopic details, this specimen has been carefully cut and sectioned to produce razor-thin sections. Estimated Age: Approximately 52 million years old. Dimensions: Measuring 7.8 cm in length, 6.8 cm in width, and a depth of 3.9 cm. Captured using a high-end Canon 5DS R digital camera paired with a Stackshot 3x turntable to collect an impressive 70 images. These images were then meticulously processed using the advanced Agisoft Photoscan software at maximum quality levels.
