Dollar Shave Club Razor Holder

I use Dollar Shave Club razors. In particular, I use their upgraded Executive razors/blades. I finally got tired of them falling out of our soap dishes in the shower, so, I designed this dual razor holder that clips on to the shower pipe (US "standard" size which measures about 20.75mm in diameter). It snaps on easily and holds tight and doesn't freely rotate, which is nice.

~Mine is printed in black, which is super hard to photograph, so~ I'm attaching a Fusion 360 render. It works really, really well! And, as a bonus, it keeps our razors out of reach of our child who is tall enough to use the shower, but too short to reach these razors now =)

Print instructions

Category: Bathroom Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa
Printer: I3 MK3S
Rafts: No
Supports: Yes
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 25%
Filament: Hatchbox PLA Black
Notes:

For additional strength, I set the number of perimeters to 4 and the top and bottom layers to 5 each.

Also, I used PLA. It should be noted that if you take really, really hot showers, you might consider switching this to PETG, ASA or ABS. The glass transition temperature of PLA is around 60°C, which happens to be the temperature of hot water heaters. Normally, you'd be mixing this down with cold water too, so, it shouldn't be an issue.

In my case, I have zero issues with PLA over showers that were a bit hotter than my taste.

You will have to use supports. I found them easy to remove, mostly in one piece on each sire, but I did have a little bit of work with the pliers to get it all off.
