Donkey car one piece platform

Donkey car one piece platform

I tried building a Donkey self-racing car (see http://www.donkeycar.com/ for full instructions) but I spent all my time redesigning the mounting platform :-) Here's my Blender3D file and an STL. The print in the photo is done with PETG at 0.2mm layer height, no supports. The design isn't very efficient to print - it took over 10 hours on my i3 MK2S. I think the screw holes for the camera might still be a little off too. The official model is at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2260575. Mine's not a remix per se but it's meant to have a compatible camera pose. So if you've built a donkey car and want to try this model out then it should still work the same. The other caveat is that I haven't driven with this thing yet. It looks shiny and I think it'll work but all I've done is screw the parts on. If you want to mess around with the Blender file, I recommend turning off the display for the subsurf modifier while you work. Rendering it can slow things down quite a bit. My STL file was created by exporting the object called "rounded-platform".
