DOOM (2016) Super Shotgun (improved and scaled)

This is the super shotgun from the DOOM game which came out 2016. It has a working hinge mechanism, so you can load it with shotgun shells just like in the game. Note that the shotgun from doom eternal looks a little bit different. # Instructions The following items must be printed twice, once normally and the second time mirrored: - Handle.stl - Hinge.stl - Hinge_Handle_Part.stl The pieces are connected with some pegs: - 16x big pegs - 4x small pegs The following files have holes for 6 neodym magnets with 4 mm diameter and 3 mm height: - Lock_with_Magnet_holes.stl - Rear_Barrels_with_Magnet_Holes.stl (If you do not want the holes take these 2 files from the original and print them at 40% scale it still should be compatible with my remix) In the original model is also a place underneath the rear barrel to add bigger magnets with about 2 cm diameter. I kept it like that, the original creator just did not mentioned how the hinge mechanism works and where to place the magnets. I added pictures for clarity. 2 strong magnets might also be enough to hold the shotgun together. # Why the Remix? The original is already quite good, but there was some room for improvement. Here is list of things that I did to improve it: - Changed the size of every piece to 40% of the original scaling (everyone from the original recommended this scale) - Added holes for little 4x3mm neodym magnets to the lock and the rear barrel, this improves the hinge mechanism - Split the handle into 2 pieces, to make print layers look better and to fit it on small printers - Added shotgun shells (with and without engraving) - Engraved the sign of doom on the handle thing (it is not there in the game, but I thought it looks cool) - Merged a few files to simply one file, as they had to be glued together otherwise - Optimized every file for printing: - Changed the orientations to a recommended print position - Made surfaces which needs to lie on the ground flat (there were same surfaces which were not quite flat, resulting in ugly support layers. - Get rid of errors in the model (there were Cura warnings for a few files) - Get rid of unnecessary big gaps between a few parts - Changed the size of the pegs for a better fit (the originals were like 1% to big) - Other minor improvements Note that I printed the shotgun on the photos with 50% scaling. This is a bit too big with a length of 83 cm. That is why rescaled everything to 40%, which reduces the length to a nice 69 cm. I have not printed it at 40% yet. But I kept the magnet holes to still be 4 mm wide. So your result might not look exactly like my pictures, but everything still should fit. If you want to hang the shotgun onto the wall I recommend my wall hanger thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5427258 If you are interested in a detailed build log of my DOOM Slayer cosplay visit this thread: https://www.405th.com/forums/threads/yet-another-doom-slayer-praetor-suit-2016-build.52519/ Big thanks to Brendan Lautissier the creator of the original model, as it was already quite good. I just added a few more hours of work to make it perfect.
