I created this to replace door handles at work with foot pulls. People would still grab the handles even though there was a foot pull present (hard to break a lifetime habit of using doors by grasping their door handles). This should work with 2.125" (54 mm) holes for the handles in 1.250"-1.750" (32 - 44.5 mm) thick doors. The lug with the #6 drywall screw was added so that people wouldn't unscrew the plug as these were being used on bathroom doors. The lug fits into a standard 1" (25 mm) hole where the latch is typically assembled on a door knob. **NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LATCH, simply a plug to enable people to use their existing doors without a handle or giant hole in it. It is meant to remove the common handle that everyone touches with their hands that may have germs and viruses on them. The groove was designed for a 75mm x 3mm O-ring that came off from my oil filter gaskets on my 2001 VW Jetta VR6. There is a raised crush rib (~0.5 mm high) that should eliminate the need for this. There are holes in the face of each plate that match my 30mm x 4 mm spanner wrench from my Makita Angle Grinder. Just in case people have trouble getting it off and don't want to risk scratching up their nice doors. I have attached the .stp files for anyone that needs to modify the data to fit their needs.
