Door Security Latch

thingiverse

A 1-piece door anti-open device that screws into the jamb with some counter-sunk screws. It should allow the door to open a small distance. It needs to be bent away from the door to allow opening. This hasn't been tested yet and could be dangerous if you attach this securely before a lot of testing. Knowing about your door frame construction will be important for selecting the right screws. There isn't much clearance so it need to be done right. For a wood frame, some long drywall screws could be used. For commercial steel frames, self drilling countersunk screws with low profile head should work if there's at least 1/8" clearance from the frame. Could mount above the handle or on the top near the front edge of the door. Don't use in any place where people could get trapped and don't use more than you can handle at one time, This is a warning. Think before using these door latches.
