Dop Stick Holder Adapter

Dop Stick Holder Adapter

thingiverse

This is an adapter meant to adapt larger holes in my design for a dop stick holder for use with smaller dop sticks. This means one holder can be printed with uniform hole sizes and used with a variety of sticks. The holder can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1705504 I have uploaded models for adapting 1/2 inch holes to 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch sticks. You can edit the .scad file to make your own in different dimensions, or use customizer to do the same and download your custom model. This was made as part of a series featured here: http://www.protoparadigm.com/news-updates/what-to-do-with-a-3d-printer-make-lapidary-tools-and-accessories/ Post-Printing The dimensions of your final print may vary a bit depending on your printer calibration. Likewise, dowels or other dop sticks may vary a bit in size. For this reason, if you want a tight fit, your best bet is probably to print this part with the size you want or a little smaller (not adding any room for slop in the print) then go in and ream out the inside with a drill bit of the correct size for your stick.
