This design clips anywhere and in any orientation. It secures by having a reversible concavity. You may have seen similar spring mechanisms before with women's hair barrettes. Simply apply force to the convex side of the clasp to open or close. The front section is free moving, and by gravity, maintains the correct IDSA logo orientation which is vertical. Color can be added by injecting enamel paint by hand, into the debossed logo. This is the fastest most economical method of manufacturing the item. The compact assembly prints in an envelope less than 1.2cm high, making it feasible to create and distribute the item at the scheduled event.
