This is a simple base which holds two DC/DC converters from Amazon/Ebay. I use these to step down from 24V to 12V for my LEDs and 24V to 5V for my Raspberry Pi. I quite like to look at the electronics (but not at the cables) so I have not designed a cover for the Converters.

The regulators I use: Pemenol LM2596 DC/DC Converer (Amazon.com, Amazon.de)

The bord/drill dimensions for anyone curious: 26mm x 49mm, the two holes form a rectangle of 23.2mm x 33 mm

The mounting hole to screw on the plate is sized to fit the M4x16 screws I had laying around.

For mounting the DC/DC Converters I chose to try out brass inserts for the first time, the holes are therefore dimensioned with a diameter of 4mm.

The T-Nut I chose: T-nut for Pursa Mini extrusions (groove 8, type B, M4 thread)

By powering everything directly from the buddy board I can directly switch on the 3D Mini, the Raspberry with the Camera and the LED Lights just by flicking the one built in switch of the Prusa Mini.
