Double Decker City Bus - HO Scale

Double Decker City Bus - HO Scale

thingiverse

This is an updated version of my double decker city bus. The model is based roughly on the Enviro500 buses built by Alexander Dennis. For an HO scale print the bus should be printed at 11.56% (if Cura resizes when importing, scale to 1156.29%). Printing instructions: -Bus body printed on roof (upside-down) to minimize supports. Standard supports are necessary for the windows, bumpers, and chassis mounts. -Floors are printed in their normal, upright orientation with standard supports. -Wheels are printed flat. Bus requires 6x front wheels (for front and rear axles), and 4x rear wheels (for center axle). Assembly: -Wheels are super glued to chassis. The two rear axles are modeled as duals, and require two wheels on each side per axle. The front wheel model is used for the steer tires, as well as the rear-most axle. -Body is painted prior to assembly. Windows are cut from clear styrene. The window frames of the model are recessed to allow glass installation on the exterior of the bus similar to the prototype. -Doors are painted and glue to model. Filing may be necessary after printing/painting for proper fit.
