Double oboe stand

Double oboe stand

This thing is derived from the oboe stand I posted a few days ago. By refining the design a little, and adding one more component (a joiner), it becomes a stand for two instruments. These will usually be oboe and cor anglais, but they could be almost anything that fits on. It comes to pieces for travelling, and can be assembled without the joiner to make a smaller single stand, when needed for crowded pit orchestras for example. By printing extra parts, this stand could be extended to take 3 or more instruments. That might be useful in Bach's Matthew Passion! An oboe d'amoré also fits on. Instructions I printed with a layer height of 0.10mm and fill of 100% in ABS. This seems to be just fine. Using a raft helps to get it unstuck from the bed when it (finally) finishes. I do not recommend less than 100% fill because it needs to be strong. It's possible to get all parts at once onto the bed of a MakerBot. While this approach takes 30 hours or so to finish, it does mean fewer interventions. This version is better in several ways than the one I posted the other day.
