Double Table Leg Cap

Double Table Leg Cap

thingiverse

Protective cap/cover for a steel table leg with two tubes together. It covers the tip of 1" round table leg(s) with two joined tubes. I have a mid-century modern table from the 1950s. Each table leg is two chrome tubes, that are parallel and joined against each other. Normal replacement caps won't fit because this is a double-tube. This design replaces the ones that are damaged and missing. You might need to expand the photos full-screen to see the ends of table legs. I had to resurrect my old AutoCAD skills to create this. I'm much more of a Revit guy. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: I used 25% hexagon infill. If I did it again I would experiment with making the floor solid or at least higher infill. But I'm actually selling the table so I won't know how well these wear over time. How I Designed This Created in AutoCAD using the primitive 3D solids tools; mostly Cone and Cylinder. The .dwg CAD file is included, from ACAD 2016 format.
