The medium bomber served both the United States Army Air Corps and Royal Canadian Air Force, stemming from their DC-2 commercial counterpart. Produced during the mid-1930s, it was utilized in World War II. Several versions of this aircraft were constructed, each with unique nose sections. Post-war, many surviving B-18s were repurposed as bombardier and gunner trainers, while some were exported to Russia, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
