This intricately designed polygonal model is almost true-to-scale, accurately representing the original object. It encompasses all textures and materials, meticulously UVW mapped in various formats. The model features animateable components like landing gear, gear doors, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and flaps; propellers are animated too. Available in diverse formats and airline liveries, this model is based on the Douglas DC-6, a piston-powered airliner and transport aircraft produced by Douglas Aircraft Company from 1946 to 1958. Initially developed as a military transport during World War II, it was later adapted for long-range commercial transport uses post-war. Over 700 of these were constructed and many continue flying today in roles like cargo, military operations, and wildfire control. In the United States Air Force, it was known as C-118 Liftmaster, while in the US Navy, pre-1962 variants bore R6D designation, post which they were designated as C-118 as well.
