The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas, an improved long-range variant, boasts non-stop transatlantic capability, enhanced engines, increased fuel capacity thanks to extended wings, and was produced in 121 units. Constructed almost true-to-scale with intricate detailing, this model features animatable control surfaces (flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder), animateable landing gear, landing gear doors, propellers, and a full double row radial engine within the cowlings, complete with movable cowling flaps. This versatile aircraft served well into the 20th century's end, with a few still flying and many being meticulously restored by museums and private owners.
