The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas boasts an impressive level of detail, with its scale model constructed using actual dimensions. Animated control surfaces include flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder; while the landing gear, landing gear doors, and propellers are also movable. The aircraft features a full double-row radial engine, visible through the cowlings, alongside animateable cowling flaps. This model comes in multiple formats to suit various preferences. Originally manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company between 1953 and 1958, the DC-7C is an advanced long-range variant, boasting non-stop transatlantic capabilities, upgraded engines, increased fuel capacity, and extended wings. A total of 121 units were built, serving well into the end of the 20th century; some still fly today, with many being restored by museums and private owners for preservation and appreciation.
