Dovetail Clamp Adapter, Meade DS-2000 Mount

An adapter plate for installing a Vixen-style dovetail clamp on a Meade DS-2000 single-arm mount. The adapter can also be used for mounting other types of clamps and fixtures, or with a central stud. 6mm mounting holes are spaced 17.5mm apart, center-to-center. For the clamp pictured, two M6x16mm screws, two M6 nuts, and two M6 washers are used. Insert the two nuts into the corresponding openings on the back side of the adapter. Note that the index tab on the adapter should line up with the groove on the socket. Use four M4 washers and reuse the original four screws that attach the clamshell or L-bracket to attach the adapter to the arm. Then attach the clamp to the adapter with the two M6 screws and washers.
