<p>These saw guides are designed to help you cut accurate dovetails. &nbsp; Each jig includes all of the angles required to cut both the tails and the pins.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/78e4d60c-339f-4a43-bcbb-74f56a711b99/two_colour_change.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22b5f390fe-e4a2-43ab-a8e1-2be6ebbdef82%22%2C%22w%22%3A693%2C%22h%22%3A800%7D"></figure><p>You'll need some 8 mm diameter, 3 mm thick magnets (8 per jig), which get superglued into the slots.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/e7df024b-c193-4b48-8923-4f6328b96baa/tails_japanese_saw.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%228b59968e-4030-449c-b587-29f3c2ebaa7c%22%2C%22w%22%3A800%2C%22h%22%3A709%7D"></figure><p>To use the jig, hold it with one hand against the wood (behind the wood if using a Japanese saw, in front of the wood if using a Western saw) with the required angle. &nbsp; Then relax your hands on the saw so that the jig guides its travel and just push/pull until you're down to depth.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/bb6bd189-54eb-41f3-8929-272957b0fa4f/line_up_for_pins.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22ca1ba46e-28ad-4fcb-b7d4-2e96768fd41e%22%2C%22w%22%3A800%2C%22h%22%3A360%7D"></figure><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/dfdce89b-5671-4ba4-aa68-0073feeb9438/pins_japanese_saw.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22cd714c1c-afdf-46c1-bd87-65e7a80abe80%22%2C%22w%22%3A800%2C%22h%22%3A655%7D"></figure><p>Once you've cut the tails and transferred the marks onto your pin board, you can use the other two sides of the jig to ensure you cut the pins at the correct angle and straight down.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:75%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/e20f8fc7-7dae-48c4-a5e7-b3fb2699aa0f/lots_of_jigs.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22dea1a697-84ef-4086-8887-a019adfe2c25%22%2C%22w%22%3A800%2C%22h%22%3A360%7D"></figure><p>I printed all of mine with a colour change after the first couple of layers. &nbsp; Some of them I did two colour changes and some I did one; this is pretty obvious in the picture of all the guides. &nbsp; The gcode I've included is just an example with no colour changes to give an idea of printing time.</p><p>The jigs with two numbers separated by underscores (e.g. <code>1_7</code>) are ratio angles (e.g. 1:7); the other ones are the degree angles.</p><p>There are two variants of each jig, a normal version (which you can see in the pictures with the saw) and a wide variant (files marked “W”). &nbsp; The wider one covers more of the thickness of the board with the jig but limits the minimum width of board that it'll hold on to. &nbsp;I find the narrow one fine, but thought I'd include the wider one in case anyone wants it.</p><p>STEP files also included in case you want to tweak anything. &nbsp; If you'd like a different angle, just let me know - it's very easy to make different ones.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Oh, and just to show it works, this was my first attempt at cutting a dovetail with one of the jigs - it's by far the best dovetail I've ever cut (most of the ones I've done without the jig have had lots of gaps):</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:75%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199398/rich_content/0010c8ed-902e-4f17-b613-00ea74fe28e1/first_attempt_with_jig.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2283b0e44b-2e71-4669-a608-709d15e95c05%22%2C%22w%22%3A800%2C%22h%22%3A360%7D"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p>
