Dovetail Mounting System: A Simple Solution for Holders and Accessories. A Double Dovetail mounting system offers a straightforward way to attach holders and accessories. Replacing the Back Mount with a slight 4-degree vertical angle to the mount is an option, along with two spindle lengths for one reel - one slightly shorter than the other. I prefer using the longer of the two spindles. A Top Clip allows for mounting the filament reel or holder on the top edge, working well for large diameter spools and the Comprehensive Filament Holder as well as some other accessories for an IP camera or a simple Selfie Stick Clip. In March 2015, I added a larger Loose Filament Hook to accommodate larger loose filament bundles. The simple Loose Filament Hook works well for small sample lengths of filament - up to 10m samples have been used successfully, simply slipping around. Other accessories can be attached to the blank dovetail plate part. Please share your suggestions and ideas; custom plates may be designed accordingly. If other diameters of Spool holders are desired, I can explore producing them and adding them to this site.
