Dowel Lock Bracket

Dowel Lock Bracket

This is a custom dowel lock bracket that I designed and created. I made this for a custom phone extension pole / tripod, but it could be used for countless other things. It is designed as one universal part so you don't have a left or right half. Just print two or more of the same part as needed. Watch a time lapse print here: https://youtu.be/Js5yqN42CuE These brackets slide tightly onto a standard 7/16" dowel. They are infinitely stackable, only limited by the length of the screw holding them together. The brackets can be mated in any orientation at 45 degree increments. Print Settings Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: Medium Infill: Medium Notes: Settings are specific to my M3D Micro printer and the software it uses to print. Printed using M3D Opaque 3D ink (Apple Green, Code:PLA). My general M3D printing tips that have worked well for me: Use blue painters tape on the bed for PLA material. For most consistent results, use new tape for each print job. Wipe painters tape down with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils or residue. Pre-heat the print bed with tape using a heat gun or hair dryer before printing. For large prints, tape a hand-warmer underneath the print bed to keep it slightly warm for the entire print job.
