Small (12.6 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm) lab power supply, based on RD DPS5005 voltage regulator (with USB communication board) and Mean Well EPS-65 series power supply. Lab power supplies that sold in stores is very bulky and heavy, so I decide make my own, small and lightweight. RD DPS5005 provides wide range of protections (over-voltage, over-current and even over-wattage). It's reasonable cheap (about $30). In my opinion RD DPS5005 is best voltage regulator for DIY projects. Electrical characteristics: Voltage: 0 - 27 V; Max. current: 5 A; Power: 65 W. BOM: 1) RD DPS5005 voltage regulator — 1 pcs; 2) Mean Well EPS-65 power supply (or similar. Just move PS stands in Meshmixer) — 1 pcs; 3) RTC6002160 Banana connector— 1 pcs; 4) HC-178 (ZH-254) M13 5 х 20mm fuse holder — 1 pcs; 5) IEC 60320 C8 AC power connector (screw fixed type) — 1 pcs; 6) IEC 60320 C7 AC power cable — 1 pcs; 7) VHR-4N connector (or solder wires directly to PS) — 1 pcs; 8) VHR-3N connector (or solder wires directly to PS) — 1 pcs; 9) SVH-21T-P1.1 (or solder wires directly to PS) — 4 pcs; 10) KCD1-104 (or similar) rocker switch — 1 pcs; 11) FDFD1.25-187(5) 22-16 AWG crimp terminals (or solder wires directly to switch) — 4 pcs; 12) DIN 7981 2.2 x 6.5 screw (for USB board) — 2 pcs; 13) DIN 7981 2.9 x 6.5 screw (for PS and case) — 6 pcs; 14) DIN 7981 2.9 x 16 screw (for AC power connector) — 2 pcs; 15) 0.75 mm² (AWG 18-19) wire — less than 1 m. Tips: Don't try print this with ABS. PLA or PETG are suitable materials. No supports needed for case grill. Make sure your printer extrusion rate and geometry settings are correct. Nominal output voltage for Mean Well EPS-65 is 24 V, but by rotating SVR1 potentiometer it can be set up to 28 V.
