Dragon Clock
thingiverse
To create a 3D printed clock as a wedding gift for my sister-in-law, I scaled up the STL files by 330% using a Replicator 2 printer and used a 2 3/4 inch clock insert. Most pieces were printed once except some brackets, printing in PLA to ensure precision. MakerWare was utilized for slicing with rafts to prevent warping of large flat pieces. Printing at a low resolution of 0.34mm and proper tramming was crucial for accurate fitting. Sugru was applied on bases, while the rest were glued with standard white glue. This pattern was based on Wildwood designs that also offers clock inserts for purchase.
