I wanted to print this nice model, but it was way to big for my uDelta printer. I had to reduce the size to 40% of the original. I did this withing Repetier Host itself. As an result of this, some of the support (at first I used the file including the support) was not sliced, making some of the supportstructures floating in mid-air. After this I tried the file without the support and add supportstructures with Repetier, but this covered most of the model in supportstructure making this a no-go. So I decided to import this into Meshmixer. I reduced the size to 40% and then added Meshmixer's support. Saved to .stl and slided it with Repetier. The endresult is very nice and came out fine. With some different (speed)-settings it would have printed nicer, but after a little paint the print should look perfect. The .stl file with Meshmixer supports was over 300MB, making me unable to upload it to thingivers. So I slightly reduced the level of details (not even noticeable) to reduce the filesize to just over 100MB. Changes over the original model: Modelsize reduced to 40% Added Meshmixer supportstructures Reduced Triangles to 82% Ps. Sorry for choice of colour. I ran out of black filament just before this one. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: uDelta Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Adding supports during slicing is not needed, since there are Meshmixer supports already in the file. For best results I should print with 0.1mm resolution, 30% infill @ low speed.
