This drain connects through the wall of a container into 1/2" NPT pipe threads. NOTE: You may have to use a spacer with thin walls as the pipe threads will get tight before contacting the surface. Surprisingly little cleanup is necessary. How I Designed This I needed a quick drain for an old paint can I was converting into an overflow basin. I did a really ugly hack of my aquaponics first-surface drain and added pipe threads from another thing. Works great!
