DREMEL 225 linear truck and guide

Did you ever try to make a straight cut with this fancy little Dremel? I did and it was a total failure. So I came up with a guiding tool that actually worked and now I would like to share it with you. Fix your Dremel 225 Flex Shaft Attachment to this printed guide and now you can cut along the truck. Just remember to be careful and do not hurt yourself! Printed parts have no CE mark ;) The guide is big enough to fit a standard D38mm saw and even up to D44mm from some other manufacturers. Theoretically with D38mm it should be possible to cut 5mm thick plate. EDIT: "version 2" is now prepared - see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1375735 Print Settings Printer: GATE 3novatica Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.4 works fine Infill: 25% seems OK Notes: All parts are designed to simplify printing. So no things like supports needed. Trucks are in few different lengths - best would be to choose the longest one that fits in your printer. Post-Printing Print few trucks to get desired length and connect them with dovetail wedges. Grind a little sliding surfaces to achieve one smooth truck. Take your time on that, the better it works with guide the safer and more precise will be your work. Notice that end of printed truck segments have rounded edges (printers fault) - eliminate them first. To make truck more rigid glue it together. To fix Dremel 225 in guide you will need bolts and nuts. 4x M5 minimum 30mm long (better 35mm). Tighten bolts just by hand - Dremel has rubber coating so it is fixed firmly without a risk of damaging of plastic guide. Development EDIT: "version 2" is now being prepared - see Remixs!
