Dremel printer filament spool and winder kit for 3D20 3D40

The Dremel brand printers use proprietary size filament spools. This printable spool allows you to transfer aftermarket filament, to be used inside the Dremel 3D20 3D40 printer. It has a center spindle size of 20mm. This spool is slightly smaller than the Dremel OEM spool due to the 5.9" printable size limitation of the 3D20 printer. The flat sided shape allows it to be printed on a Dremel printer. Be sure to use Custom slicer settings mode and change the Build Plate Adhesion to None so the printer can use the maximum space of the build plate. This is a two part design that uses minimal support and can either be glued or taped together. It easily holds 0.5 kg of filament, which is the OEM amount from Dremel. I have also created a two part filament winding spindle to fit this spool and also the Dremel OEM spool. Use a drill and pencil on the ends to quickly transfer the filament from one spool to another. This version is designed to fit on the 3D20 and 3D40. It doesn't work well on the 3D45 because the center hole is too big and allows wobble and jams.
