My Latest 3D Print: A Dremel Tool Holder. A DESIGN IN PROGRESS This project started as a idea to build a simple Sliding Dremel Tool Holder. The plan is to add additional 3D Printed parts; a Base, a Sliding Material Holder, and adjustment points. Maybe build a "mini" horizontal mill for gouging, cutting small parts, and cutting PCB material. To try this thing out, I just clamped it to the edge of the bench. Wow, within the first few hours of setup, it has proven very useful, even at this very early stage of development. I should have made one of these long ago. Note: it is designed to be 3D Printed without supports, by making the parts interlocking. This is Fusion 360 model is not really ready to publish, but I will share as-is, because it may be useful even at this stage. More than likely the model will need some easy modification to fit different brands of Dremel Tools. The parts are a very snug press fit. I used a block of wood and a hammer to drive them together. The three parts were printed on three separate 3D Printers; the Base was printed on an CR-10, each of the mounts were printed one each on two Ender 3's. I printed them with; PLA, 3 Top and Bottom Layers, 3 Side Walls, 30% Star Infill. 0.2 Layer Height, with a 0.4 Nozzle. Print the two ring parts, ring-side down so that supports will not be necessary. More to come. --
